How to use the IAC Database
 

The IAC Database is quite useful in many ways but not the most user-friendly service. Here's a quick overview to make your visit more productive. The database presents information from 7,000 businesses nationwide in all sectors that have implemented some type of energy savings strategies. The participants self report in hopes to help promote energy efficiency efforts worldwide. Entries are anonymized.

 

Basically, the companies present data about various energy efficiency measures they have implemented. All of the technology solutions that Power & Light Group utilizes can be found within the case studies in this database. The point is that we are going to recommend to you proven technologies that companies of all sizes have been using for decades.

 

By clicking the button below you will be directed to a preselected search. You just search for companies that implemented some type of motor system drive technology. Of the 7,000 companies reporting, 31% have implemented this type of solution. The first item of the list looks like this.

First off, notice that of more than 1,500 companies that have implemented this particular technology the average payback period was only 2.1 years. Keep in mind most of the efficiency projects we have done have less than a 3 year payback or period of return.
